    Feedback about some of the most important issues currently on the PTS and my suggestions to fix them

    Issue: Too many voice lines got removed from the new VGS system.

    Suggested fix: Give players the option to toggle between the old and the new VGS system. Alternatively, add some of the old voice lines back.

    Explanation: People got used to the old system and built up muscle memory using it. While we can eventually get used to the new system as well, this will take time and require us to get rid of old habbits which is fairly hard to do. I understand that the current system is easier once learned but some of us don't want to re-learn a system from the ground up. The main problem here though is the removal of many good voice lines. Chatter lines such as "good game" and "quiet" are fun and i'd like to see them back but they're not essential. However, useful ones like "enemy behind us" and "wait" should really make a return.

    Issue: Shields are too weak at base.

    Suggested fix: Give some (not all) shields an additional 500-1000 base health depending on the severity of their current nerf.

    Explanation: The changes to wrecker and shields are great. However, most of us feel that shields have been hit a little too hard. Shield nerfs were obviously needed in order to make sure that frontlines wouldn't become even more meta than they already were, but in their current state shields just feel a little too weak. If you build around shields (by picking shield talents and spending all your points on shield cards) then they feel good, exactly like they should. The problem here is that you NEED to dedicate your entire loadout to the shield in order for them to feel useful. If you don't build your entire loadout around them then they simply die too quickly. So quickly in fact that most of the time the enemy team doesn't even bother buying wrecker since they don't need it, shields die fast enough without it. This is mostly because the severe nerf to shield health made it so the enemy team basically has a free, un-nerfed wrecker lvl 1 at the start of the match. Giving shields a little more base health than they currently have should make loadout cards less of a requirement in order for shields to feel good.

    Issue: Cauterize is still too dominant.

    Suggested fix: Revert the cost reduction to cauterize and / or buff rejuvenate from 5% per tier to 7% per tier.

    Explanation: While the effectiveness of cauterize went down, the cost reduction combined with the duration increase, increased starting credits, the overall healing nerf to supports and the nerf to rejuvenate made it so cauterize is just as dominant of an item as ever. The reduced effectiveness is not enough to counteract all the other changes, so some of those changes need to be reconsidered. The overall change is good though. Healing numbers are much more streamlined across the duration of the match and healing items are now way more useful later in the game but cauterize did not deserve to get it's cost reduced when there are 3 other changes that also benefit it. It's a bit too easy to get max cauterize at the moment.

    Issue: Makoa is an unstoppable terror of doom.

    Suggested fix: Remove CC immunity during Ancient Rage from his kit entirely.

    Explanation: Makoa should not have CC immunity during Ancient Rage under any circumstances, period. His ult is already incredibly strong since it's VERY hard to stop a stampeding turtle with 9500 hp before he massacres your entire team. The nerf to Rampage helped somewhat with this but the fact that Makoa has CC immunity means that his ult is uncounterable other than "kill him before he kills you and everyone around you". Without CC immunity you can slow him, stun him, knock him back or do other things to stop him from reaching your team but right now you can't do any of that so he's free to smack as much booty as he likes and there is nothing you can do about it.

    Issue: Maeve now has a semi-permanent 30% damage bonus.

    Suggested fix: Reduce the effectiveness of reworked Predation.

    Explanation: I'm a Maeve main so this one will hurt me a bit but i need to acknowledge the problem here. Cat Burglar was already Maeve's best talent so reworking one of her cards to compliment this talent was the first mistake. The second mistake was making the new card so good that Maeve now has a 50% uptime on Cat Burglar. Simply said, Predation should not reduce the cooldown of Prowl by 2 seconds every second. Yes you need to spend 5 loadout points, yes you need to be accurate but it's still WAY too much. Even when missing half your shots you still get a massive benefit out of this card. Either reduce the cooldown reduction per dagger hit or make it so you need to hit both daggers in order to get the cooldown reduction. That would make the card a lot more fair.

    That's all for now, at least for me. Maybe some new issues will be dug up as the PTS progresses but at the moment these are the most important things that i'd like to see addressed.

    On a sidenote, to whoever designed Tiberius' voice lines: thank you. I haven't laughed this hard in ages.
