    Based on the responses to my post from last week, we have thrown out the results of our previous investigation, made a few server configuration changes last week, and have continued to explore different angles of analysis.

    So, what changes did we make last week? We've brought even more data centers online and continued to increase the number of servers available for players, which seems to have improved things, but has not entirely removed the packet loss issues. We've also tested out some super expensive servers that have fewer but much faster processor cores, but that didn't seem to fix it either. While we didn't expect that to be the issue, we figured it was worth a try, despite it being an expensive test.

    In order to continue our analysis, we need players to give us any information you have available. In my last post, players started pointing out that they experience lag during off-peak hours in the EU where previously we had players reporting that this issue only happened during peak hours. We also had players pointing out that they don't experience lag issues in training matches, which players had previously stated only to have others disagree. We've also noticed that players reporting this issue all seemed to be playing on PC (or in a party with PC players). Please feel free to share anything that you believe may be relevant and please include which region you're playing in!

    If you just want to complain about the servers still sucking, that's helpful too as long as you include the region! A little extra detail would go a long way, though! Do you place on PC or console? Is it every single match or just most of them? Do you also experience lag in training matches? Has it gotten better or worse in the past week?

    I've managed to get some super smart people to start looking into this issue with me, but even they are scratching their heads trying to understand what's going wrong. Do know that we are trying to figure this out, because it's a critically important problem to solve, but whatever is happening is definitely not easy to track down and fix.

    I honestly think that terms power siphon should count as shielding on the end of match leaderboard. The main reason I think this is because when I play term people say "oh you are trash because you don't use power siphon much at all to help the team" or something in that line. I honestly just wish it would show up in shielding so then people can see how much dmg you absorbed which would be kinda cool.

    My thoughts on Buck and his current place in the meta

    I've been seeing some talk on here about Buck and I just wanted to share what a longtime Buck main thinks about his current place in the meta. Any feedback is welcome

    Buck, in general

    Buck, as of now, is probably the best counter-flank you can pick. He has favorable matchups with most of the flanks, especially the ones that are also in the meta. Against someone like Maeve or Andro, Buck can usually out-sustain them or slow them down to get an easy kill. In my opinion the only flank a Buck might struggle with would be Koga, but he isn't as good as he used to be.

    Buck, however, is not a replacement for someone like Andro. If you can pick Andro over Buck, do it. While Buck is great with sustain, he usually lacks in the damage department so if you want a flank that deals a lot of damage and can kill quickly, don't pick Buck.

    Buck can be picked in comps with one tank since his most popular playstyle, Bulk Up, makes him a sort of hybrid between an off-tank and a flank. He is also very self-sufficient, so while something like a Jenos or Corvus pocket definitely helps, it isn't necessary and Buck can usually heal any major damage he takes by himself.

    Ensnare

    Ensnare is my favorite talent right now, but I think it's being overshadowed by Bulk Up. Hopefully Ensnare will get some time in the limelight once Bulk Up is nerfed. Anyways, I think Ensnare is a much safer option than Bounce House. If you want to play a damage-oriented Buck, pick this one.

    Something to note is that Ensnare only improves your TTK (time to kill) if you hit headshots. Without headshots it takes the same amount of time to kill someone with Ensnare as it does with Bulk Up. This doesn't mean Ensnare is useless however, since it allows you to kill from a further distance away. Most builds also run the Gotcha card, so you gain extra movement speed alongside the bonus damage.

    Bounce House

    Bounce House is the least competitively viable talent, but boy it sure is the most fun one. It's fine if you are playing casuals, since teams are usually uncoordinated and you can build up a nice snowball effect if you are good enough. Once you get into a setting where people know what they are doing though, Bounce House's effectiveness drops off drastically.

    For starters, you are using your movement ability to engage fights. If you leap in and something goes wrong, you can't escape and you die. Bounce House is also countered by powerful CC such as a Jenos void grip or a deep roots Grover. If you get hit by one of those, you die. Another good way to stop a Bounce House Buck is simply by grouping up. If a Buck leaps into a 1v3 or 1v4 situation he dies. Buck is also reliant on his leap damage to get the kill, so using a movement ability to get away from the Buck before he lands makes him a sitting duck. It is at this point that he (shocker) will most likely die.

    Making Bounce House work takes a disproportionate amount of effort compared to any value that you get from it. You have to find these perfect moments to safely leap in for a kill, and even then you still pray that you can make it out alive.

    Bulk Up

    This talent is the major source of contention that I see on here when people talk about Buck. Some say it's overpowered, some say it's absolute garbage. Which one is it? Well, I think it's mostly fine where it is, but it needs a slight nerf.

    My current Bulk Up build gives me a 600hp burst heal + a 1000hp heal after that, a 300 total health increase that raises my hp from 2300 to 2600, and 24% damage reduction when I use Recovery and Heroic Leap that can stack if both are used at the same time. This is too much. Bulk Up feels too bloated right now with how much good stuff it gives you. Now you might be wondering how we can nerf Bulk Up without it becoming useless, but it is quite easy.

    The only thing that needs to be changed is the 300hp increase. If you touch the initial burst heal that Bulk Up gives you or if you change Buck's damage reduction cards then Bulk Up becomes useless. To me, the 300 extra health feels like a stat they just threw onto Bulk Up back when cauterize was stronger to make it more viable. Since cauterize has been nerfed however, I don't see any reason why this stat should exist. I barely notice it in gameplay, and the only value I get from it is that it allows me to get shot twice by a sniper and still live, assuming they didn't hit a headshot.

    Finally, to address the people who think Bulk Up is useless because of cauterize, it really isn't. I used to be one of those people who thought the same thing until I knew what I was doing. A lot of inexperienced Buck players will use Recovery while getting shot at and while under the effects of cauterize. This is not how you use Recovery. The only time you should use recovery while getting shot at is if the enemy doesn't have cauterize or if you just want to proc the damage reduction that you get from your loadout and aren't focused on the heal. Even still, you should mainly be using Recovery behind cover. The only time cauterize affects Bulk Up is if you are dumb enough to use it while being cauterized.

    I played over watch for maybe 100 hours or so, I'm only 12 hours into paladins and I feel it's so much better , I know this game takes a lot from overwatch I.e some of the champions being very similar but my lord this game is so much more fun. I LOVE the way it's like LoL that you need to unlock characters and it gives you something to work towards. Did I mention it's FREE ? Hahahaha
