Paladins That Corvus voice line was more aggressive than I anticipated

I've Been playing this game with my dad for 2 months and my dad never played a shooter in his life. My dad doesn't like playing bot matches because they are to easy when we play them. Bots don't compare to humans either in terms of skill and positioning, all they do is go strait to point and then you kill them. My dad and I went to real siege matches against players to have good games where we don't 4-0 the other team every match. I would litterally not even play in the bot matches, letting my team 4v5 and we would still win 1/2 the time. I also tried to get him to play Minecraft but he took a hard pass on that.

We all know matchmaking can be rough sometimes and it can be even worse when you stick a 50 year old man who never played a shooter in his life with his 17 year old son who has played shooters for years on one team. We do get good games with a 3:3 overtime and sometimes we win, sometimes we lose, but tonight we had an unfortunate 6 losses in a row. I'm not complaining about the losses, I'm complaining about our teammates. No I'm not complaining about my teammates skill or else I wouldn't be playing with my dad... I'm complaining about their toxicity. They tell my dad hes trash, play bot matches, kill himself, wishes his family didn't exist, and hes worthless, useless. He has Vivian at level 40 so I guess people expect a lot from him. I got him to try and play other roles and he did, but his problem is that he doesn't have game sense. Playing Raum, he goes to point and dies and forgets he has his dash. I try and tell him the strategy on what all he has to do and look out for in order to live (looking at you tyra mains), but he isn't able to keep up with it all. Did you expect him to? He's new! The most complicated game he's played is Mario Party 6 on the Game Cube with a controller, and now he's playing on a keyboard and mouse when he's used a tablet to surf the web his whole life. "I'm sure it would help if he watched some gameplay!" I'm sure someone will say. To that, I agree. I go in bot matches with him and teach him how to do it all. He's even went the extra step and watched some videos on how to play Vivian, even when we all know she's easy (that's why I suggested her to him). I got him to try Jenos because we all know he's arguably the easiest healer. I think he just got bored when playing him.

My main goal in making this post is that I want to say be nice to your random teammates. My dad had enough tonight after our teammates complained about him for losing and he told me after he got off and watched tv for a bit that he was done because he was no good and people were always mad at him.

If you're one of these people that get mad and say toxic things, I don't hate you, you have all rights to be frustrated. But if you're going to say something at least be helpful and not hurtful.

You: "Hey Vivian, try moving while shooting"

Me: *happiness noises* *Accommodates you for Teamwork/Leadership/Being a decent human-being and not a toxic peace of..... ._. more happiness....*

I'll have you know I only got to accommodate one person for that.

Why is ranked such a joke?

I have people not buying cards in game, going afk, not getting the point AT ALL, and my personal fav today, LOCKING IN WITH LEVEL 1 CHARACTERS. And I'm not even talking Corvus 😭😭 even though that's just as ridiculous.

Oh, wait, I take it back. My fav is the koga that just went afk for most of the match then called us all trash and the healers "putos" -real mvp right there.

But seriously, why isn't it a conversation making it impossible for people to play ranked with characters under AT LEAST level 8 so you can have all your legendary cards unlocked? I mean how is anyone supposed to play a competitive game mode, and that's the argument that's always made, when people can't even bring in characters with their abilities unlocked they're so low?

Was playing ranked earlier as barik I was on the point struggling to stay alive wondering where the hell are my other 4 teammates ?!!!!

I died ofc and the camera switches to my teammates...

They were fucking camping the faustain bargain talus rune incase he comes back...all 4 of them and the damba spamming relaod while the Khan holding his shield and the dredge spamming broadside on it.

All 4 of them camping an obviously placed rune which talus will never come back to it.

I am literally lost for words, what the fuck is happening to the playerbase ?

Battlepass Probably Greed Problem?

So they added 20 levels in battlepass. OK. They added 30 more challenges. (which they will give you 10 more levels cleared IF you complete them). OK. They extended the battlepass time by another month. OK

BUT THIS...this is the greed i was talking about. So if you buy and finish a battlepass you get your crystals back. Great! BUT in the last 10 levels (between 110 and 120) you get 150 CRYSTALS !!! that represents 25% of the cost of battlepass. If the battlepass was only with 40 levels, i wouldn't have minded. But wtf is this? ALSO many battlepasses ago, you would have gotten a diamond chest at the end , BUT NOW you get a stupid golden chest. You have a business, i get that, but don't be too greedy.
