    Watching all her friends leave the Greenwood to join the fight against the Magistrate, Cassie lamented the curse that bound her bloodline to her family's homeland. When advice from a mysterious oracle offered her an escape from her obligations, she jumped at the chance, even though she knew the sacrifice she made would haunt her. Taking nothing but her father's enchanted crossbow and her faithful hunting bird, Zigs, she raced off to join the Resistance in their fight against the relentless Magistrate.

    Maeve is a little overtuned in some aspects

    Maeve is on the whole a fairly balanced flank, probably one of the more balanced ones. That said, she has a few things that make her better in ways she probably shouldn't be.

    My first issue is with her DR card below a certain % of health. I don't think a flank with mobility that already makes her very tricky to hit should have damage reduction in her base kit. Evie, Andro, and Zhin have no such cards and, with the exception of Evie, are easier to hit than Maeve. The only flank who has DR that makes sense is Buck, as he isn't nearly as mobile and is forced to full commit far more than Maeve to get results. Basically, while it's not always an issue, it has saved a lot of Maeves from situations where they probably should have died, but had the help of both DR and hyper mobility to escape.

    Second issue is predation. Nothing else to really say, the card is too damn good and needs a numbers nerf.

    Last issue is her damage drop off, or rather her lack of it. I'm not talking about gutting her ranged damage, I just want to see her having to commit more. She shouldn't have poke as good as it currently is, it means she has to commit way less than most other flanks. Her daggers should only do full damage up until somewhere between medium and long range.

    As I said, I think she's overtuned rather than overpowered. This isn't an urgent issue, and the other flanks I mentioned have a whole host of their own problems, but that doesn't disqualify Maeve from some tuning herself in my eyes.
