    Friendly reminder about the new VGS system

    In an effort to improve the new player experience, the old VGS system had to go. The new system is much more intuitive for new players and won't scare them away.

    For example, take the command for "No!". Under the old system, player had to remember that V was always the starting key, chat-group phrases required a second V, and then they had to know that "No!" begins with an N - so the command was a complex "VVN".

    Luckily the new system simplifies commands like "No!" which were needlessly complex. The new command for "No!" is a trivial VCRE. Because new players need to be babied and not deal with complicated stuff like knowing what letter "No!" starts with.

    You cannot deny that the new VGS is something that almost entire community was not happy about. First of all, we are all used to the old system, which worked more than fine in terms of team communication. Second of all, everyone who plays SMITE as well as Paladins can really appreciate how intuitive the VGS commands were. Some were obviously different, but a large section was shared among both games. For example things like V A(ttack) 1, 2, 3, each corresponding to either left, middle, right, be it side of the map for Paladins or lanes in SMITE. I think that entire part after VVG( ) was entirely the same as well.

    The point is, even though majority of players were clearly against the new VGS coming in, Hi-Rez still implemented it, just as clunky and unintuitive as everyone expected. I know that they are not gonna revert it now or change the keybinds for commands, but at least let the players choose between OLD and NEW system, that I am so used to using between Paladins and SMITE.
