Flanks Skill Ceiling Highest to Lowest

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 06:53 PM PDT

What do you guys think is the skill ceiling for each flank class champion from highest to lowest is? From what I've seen, it would most definitely be this. (This is STRICTLY for PC ONLY). Edit: Also, I'd like to add this is not a skill floor. Some of these champions might be easy to get into, but very hard to master.

    1. Evie - Highest Skill Ceiling. I believe she takes the most game sense and map awareness compared to any other flank I've ever seen and is very dangerous if mastered. Her possibilities in Pro level gameplay set the bar very high for the flank class and manages to set an excellent example of what she is capable of if used in the right hands.

2.) Androxus - Very High Ceiling. Out of all the flanks, andro takes the most mechanical skill in the game especially when it comes to aim, but this is made a little bit easier due to his cursed revolver talent. His high damage output from consistent headshots can be excellently utilised in the highest level of play. Some of the plays that pros are able to pull off with andro always sets new limits for him.

3.) Maeve - High - Very High Skill Ceiling. It is very easy to tell the difference between a good Maeve and a bad Maeve. She can take her skills all the way to the highest level of play, and she takes a lot of skill when it comes to cooldown management, aim, and awareness, which is where she shines in higher levels.

4.) Koga - High Skill Ceiling. He is a rather underrated champ and isn't picked too often. In higher elo games, he's a super difficult flank to use, but from what I've seen and experienced, Koga has one of the highest skill ceilings in the game, and just like Maeve, it's very easy to tell the difference between a good Koga and a bad Koga. He is able to make a lot of potential and creative plays due to his unique energy management system and his very diverse kit. I feel like he's a champion who is in dire need for a buff atm to be used more easily, especially top elo gameplay. His agility nerf which went from 50% to 30% was the most unnecessary thing hi-rez could've done. This doesn't mean he's not viable, but it's just that he takes a lot of sheer finesse, effort, and skill to pull off effectively, which I have seen being done before, even at Grandmaster Level Play. He falls more into the "High Skill & High Risk = High Reward" category.

5.) Buck - Medium - High skill Ceiling. Just like Andro, Buck is a very amazing flank, arguably the best in the meta. But when it comes to his skill cap in high elo, I would say he takes a decent amount of skill to use, a great amount of experience, and a good amount of mechanical skill (Aim), but not as much compared to Andro & Evie. His survivability and self-sustain allow him to escape and outlive a lot of situations where most flanks would've been dead.

6.) Zhin - Medium Skill Ceiling. He is rather one of the easier flanks to use and capitalise on. Mechanically, he doesn't require too much skill to use, due to his large swing and hitbox, but obviously, a good Zhin in higher elo's requires to hit all your shots (especially your 3rd swing). He has one of the best escapes in the entire game, which with a certain talent allows him to easily heal up and escape almost every scenario. He is overall a fantastic flank who has the whole package, but he just doesn't take too much effort to pull off what the other flanks above would have to do.

7.) Talus - Medium Skill Ceiling. He is a decent flank who takes good skill to use, but from what I've seen, it's just impossible to use in high elo games even with good skill. Pretty much, he can be easily countered by any DPS/flank as long as your fast enough and have good aim/tracking. Talus is my least played flank, so I can't contribute as much compared to other flanks on the list, but feel free to add any points I may have missed or just correct me if I'm wrong.

8.) Lex - Medium Skill Ceiling. He is a very simple to use champion. Pretty much, the only thing that could really change between a good and bad lex is if they can consistently hit their shots. His sliding isn't too complicated, and without death hastens, he has a very spammy playstyle that just doesn't always work out.

9.) Skye - Low-Medium Skill Ceiling. Overall she doesn't take too much skill to use, but man even if you managed to get Skye to the highest skill cap possible, she just simply doesn't have that "high skill = high reward" value. This is all due to "illuminate" that completely just shreds on her invisibility, which is her selling point due to her lack of mobility. Even if you are the best Skye in the world, she just honestly does not work against competent players.

10.) Moji - Lowest Skill Ceiling. - One of the lowest skill cap champions in the entire game, regardless of flank or not. She takes minimum to almost no effort to do what any other flank has to do. She can pull off instant 1000 damage and shred HP like its almost nothing just by holding down left and right-click. I'm not saying she's necessarily OP, as good teams can most of the time take care of her, but I'm saying she takes almost 0 effort or finesse to pull off most of her plays.

Barik and Inara all the time (Ranked)

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 07:12 PM PDT

Dont you feel way too repetitive having Barik vs Inara on point all the ranked matchs? Paladins really needs another point tank, or at least rework a talent of any Off to be Point tank. I know you can try Ash and Terminus on point, but be honest, there are only 2 real all-terrain Point tanks.
