Why are we still here? Just to suffer? Every night, I can feel my rank go down... And my commendations... even my battle pass... The matches I've lost... the XP I've lost... won't stop disconnecting... It's like they're all still in beta. You feel it, too, don't you?

So far the only way I see countering him is disconnecting from the match. Its worked so far.

Pip's Weightless should air jump on activation

    Posted: 18 Dec 2020 12:25 PM PST

    Reasons:

    1. When Weightless is activated and Pip receives any sort of knockback, his initial jump is negated.
    2. Literally all other supports can escape Jenos' Void Grip with their movement (except Jenos himself)
    3. It would give him a chance to save himself from enemies pushing him out of the map. Which given his overall downsides, wouldn't make him any op

Naturally, this isn't all Pip needs to become relevant in the meta again, but given how reluctant they are to give him bigger buffs this would be a great QoL for fox boy

RoCo has now cross-progression, will Paladins follow?

    Posted: 18 Dec 2020 10:21 PM PST

I bought founders pack on RoCo, standard on PS4 and deluxe on PC, I just found out today that I can now do cross progression on both my PC and PS4. I have set my PC account as my main account therefore I can now cross progress between PC and my PS4 using my PC account. Though the standard founders I spent is wasted, I am still satisfied with it.

Since this isn't a RoCo thread, let's set that aside. Now one of the reasons before as far as I remember is Sony didn't allow for cross-progression so how did RoCo do it? And since they have cross progression on both PC and Console, will Paladins and Smite follows? Is this still on the plan? I have Paladins on PC but I couldn't get to spend time on it as I have a much better progression on my PS4 AND I would not want to spend again on the PC part. So I'd like to ask Hi-Rez team if cross progression on their other games aside RoCo is still possible?

    Fill for Your Team

    Posted: 18 Dec 2020 09:51 PM PST

I play at a decently high rank. I generally get in games with people anywhere from high Gold to GM. And despite this, people still don't fill needed roles. I watched the Paladins World Championships, and there was one team that used three flanks, IIRC. That's all well and good. I'm not saying that it's impossible to play and win without a role. I have plenty of anecdotes over years and years of playing in which my team filled entirely with Damages and Flanks won the game. But, I have to say, I have a lot more memories of games that went absolutely horribly because someone on my team decided to be a moron and choose a Viktor, or an Imani, or whatever extra Damage or Flank that we didn't need, and we didn't have a Frontline, or a Support. And, to me, it doesn't matter how well that person does as an individual player in the game; the fact of the matter is that we needed a different role, and that person didn't fill it.

Maybe I'm just a salt factory after years of playing this game, but I'm just tired of people not filling roles. If everyone insta-locks, that sucks, and no one is really at fault in that situation imo. But if I don't lock quickly, I'll see what the team needs and fill that role, even if I don't personally want to play that role.

I have an anecdote that I'd like to share, since this game happened a while back and kind of illustrates the now-deep-seated issue that I have with people messing up the team comp. There was a Viktor (lol of course, right?) who messed up our comp. Now, he was a pretty good Viktor. He wasn't a bad player. He just didn't pick a tank when we needed one. I was playing Skye (just having a bit of fun, because why not?), and then he said that I should be tank. I just told him to shut up (yes, I directly used the phrase "shut up") and told him that he screwed up the team comp, so he could be the Frontline. He got salty and said that I had invis, so I should be front. Now, here's the thing. What he said objectively made sense. I'm not arguing about that. He was right in that sense. But it was his fault that we didn't have a Frontline in the first place, so he should be the one to do the job. If he wanted a tank, then he should've picked one. I'm to the point now that I'd literally rather lose games than legitimize selfish people like this and play beyond my role to carry them to a victory that they don't deserve. (By the way, we did lose that game, but it was because one of our players made a huge blunder, and it wasn't the Viktor [or me].) I want to be a team player. I fill when our team needs a role, regardless of whether I feel like playing that role or not. When people don't extend that same courtesy, it's very difficult for me to feel anything except hostility toward them and view them as selfish. Has anyone found good ways to help reduce tilt in these types of situations?
