Paladins In this world, it's either stomp, or get stomped

So I was just playing a round of casual siege. I decide to try playing some Strix (my 6th least played champion) because thats what I usually do in casual, practice champs im not good at yet like everyone else. And as you can tell, my lack of time on Strix really shows XD.

So anyway, the match was alright. We lost of course, but overall not bad. Of course not all that great either. Our Koga went afk the last round, and when the match ended he blamed me and called me trash. But the real star of the show was the enemy Ruckus,. The guy who 1. bought Illuminate the first round 2. had a Corvus pocket and 3. sprayed by dead body every time he killed me. The Ruckus goes into the chat and acts like he just won the lottery, unloading shit-talk and bragging all over me and my poor performance [on a champ I never play]. The ego was so thick you could cut it with a knife. I asked him why the attitude, as winning against someone playing a champ they are unfamiliar with, while having 3 pocket healers, IN CASUAL, was not really worth boasting over. He responded with calling me a braindead monkey and a bunch of other shit-talk, alongside Koga.

I eventually decided that this guy wasn't worth it, and decided to just leave or forget it. So several matches later (about 30 mins) he starts private messaging me. He called me a dumb gold player (having looked at my profile apparently) and continued the onslaught of 13yr old insults. So I looked HIM up and discovered he was level 54, so It was possible he was a smurf. I message him back telling him to knock it off and guessed he must be very bored and seeking self-amusement. I was about to go DND, but then he sends me his Discord username, telling me join him in a VC so he could continue to shit-talk to me. He repeats the message over and over, with added jabs like "unless ur a pussy" and the continuing "dumb monkey" line.

This was rather new. In my state of indifference, I foresaw an opportunity to have a little fun with this bully. About 20mins later, I messaged him back, stating I looked for his username on Discord, but failed to find it. He first acts like he doesn't care, but then he send it to me again. I repeat the ruse, and he sends it again, and again, and again. Each time he adds a personalized tacked-on insult. This repeats till eventually he buys my story on not being able to find it, so he asks for MY Discord. I send him a fake user address, which he spent a full 5 mins searching for before messaging back, saying it was non existent. His growing rage starts to become more and more apparent, as every message now seems to be getting angrier and more frantic, with him even starting some messages with an all-caps LMAO. He once again sends his Discord name, stating I was beyond stupid for not being able to find it. I reply with a repeat of my fake name, adding the fact HE failed to find MY username as well. So I guess we are both dumb lol.

At this point, you can practically hear the steam coming out of his ears. After a few more insults, he then sends me a different Discord username. I once again say I failed to find it. At this point he catches on to the ruse. He once again blares into the chat, demanding I join. He raves some more of his on-repeat insults, this time in all-caps, and then goes DND.

So that pretty much it. Was it right/wrong of me to do this, idk. But it felt good as hell. I know trolling is a serious problem in Paladins, and most of my own stories are about encountering trolls. But I feel noone really got hurt from the little charade I played on this toxic jerk.

But Im curious, have any of you had any encounters similar to this? Where someone gave you their contact info so to fight you outside Paladins? Plz let me know down below.
